Diving presents the ways in which a colonial Indian upbringing shapes the subsequent post-Independence life and relationships of an English woman.

Diving originated as a live multimedia performance with: live and pre-filmed actors; found footage; improvised music; and archival elements. It is presented both as an installation of multiple-viewpoint projections, and, co-jointly, as a single-channel film. It forms part of my research into: the spatial layering; temporal arrangements; and points of view afforded by the digital narratives generated through the hybrid assemblage of multimedia elements and live action.
